Some Nifty Stuff

Here’s a short-cut to some possibly interesting and useful things for you related to the Philippine Energy Sector that I maintain.

Documents and Info

Asian Energy’s Public Wiki. Anyone can add information to or edit the wiki. Includes, for instance, a library of Philippine energy laws and regulations, a collection of publicly available documents and slide decks that I come across, and a bunch of other stuff. The link takes you to the Table of Contents.

Bookmarks

Del.icio.us Bookmarks tagged daily as energy-related by Nick. Mostly news items in the Philippine press. There are also RSS feeds for the tags - so, for example, you could subscribe just to everything I bookmark Meralco.

Images

The Asian Energy Flickr Group. Join and contribute - or just download away. Mostly photos of generating plants in the Philippines. They are tagged, so you can look at, for example, just photos of Masinloc, or just Hydro plants. Here’s the tag cloud. And of course, there is an RSS feed you can subscribe to to get updates on photos posted to group.

Maps

Google Earth index of Philippine Power Plant locations (partial). View in Google Maps. Or View in Google Earth. Or go download the kmz file from here.

Spreadsheets

Asian Energy’s online spreadsheets - datasets that are available for download. Includes, for instance, WESM price and demand data from Weekly Reports and datasets of Philippine generating plants.

Twitter Updates

Asian Energy is on Twitter as @asianenergy. Notifications of new blog posts, new bookmarks tagged energy, and new photos are streamed to Twitter. Asian Energy’s use of Twitter is still developing. Nick’s personal Twitter is @nicknich3.

Philippine Energy Search Engine

Here is a web search engine optimized by Asian Energy Advisors to focus on global sites that have information related to the Philippine energy sector. You might want to give it a try.

On this day..
