ERC Horrors

The new website design at the ERC has broken all – well – zillions of permalinks to ERC documents. All the Google searches that used to be so valuable for finding information on the ERC site now result in “page not found” as do all the historical links I’ve made to ERC documents in my blog over the past year.

What about you? Do you bookmark stuff at ERC too? Did you too use Google to find ERC decisions related to your utility?

Aye yay yay!

Google will eventually re-index things, given enough time. The depressing part of this is that it is not apparent to me what the redesign gained. I see no new functionality from a user’s standpoint. The upcoming schedules are a bit easier to read, but that was fixable without a restructuring surely.

Too bad the ERC doesn’t communicate through blogging. They could help shed some light on this for all of us. Maybe they could just post a comment here.
