Yours truly, working early in the morning before my bath.
Here’s a tour around my desk:
iMac G5 – for those unfamiliar there’s nothing under the desk. The whole computer is contained in the 2″ casing around the 20″ flat screen. I’m hooked into the internet through built-in wi-fi getting it’s signal from my wireless router downstairs connected to PLDT’s DSL.
Red shoe box to my upper right – anything important that needs saving for the next few weeks goes there.
Dark colored phone next to my left elbow – direct connect to the U.S. through Vonage. If you dial this number that has a Florida area code (+1 941 219-3513) that phone rings.
Unused wireless white Apple mouse shoved up under the computer
because the batteries are dead and I’m using a wired backup. The keyboard is wireless that cuts down on the clutter.
One ear bud, next to the unused mouse, of my iPod’s ear set that is currently plugged into the computer so I can privately listen to videoblogs and, of course, Youtube.
iSight camera perched atop the computer case (magnetized mount) that is mercifully turned off at the moment.
External microphone snaked up toward my face – I use it for Skype.
Cellphone lying next to the unused wireless mouse – waiting on your txt message.
Desk fan on the background bookcase because we’ve moved my office to a different room upstairs and we haven’t moved the air con yet. Another reason I look so haggard.
In your foreground there is a picture frame turned toward me with a pic of two of my kids.
Just in front of the picture frame is my double-walled Bodum glass coffee mug.
And if you look really close you can see a little green hand form next to a pack of tissue – the remnants of my three year old’s last excursion into my office wanting me to play with him – and I did, of course.
