Q Source

Well, the document that I’ll refer to as the "Q Source" seems to have made it’s way over to Conrado Banal at the Philippine Daily Inquirer and to Mary Ann Reyes at the Phil Star.

As in Mathew or Luke, a little textual exegesis does seem to tie the articles written by Conrado, Mary Ann, Fel and Neal at four different newspapers to what might to be a single written source document.  But it’s just a theory.

Here’s a phrase (distributor of wires and cables) taken from each of the four articles:

The main figure behind YNN Pacific is a certain Sunny Sun, who is a distributor of Duraflex Wires and Cables, dealing mainly with power utilities like Meralco. [Conrado]

YNN’s local shareholder (let’s call him “Mr. A”) happens to be a distributor of wires and cables sold to power utilities like Meralco [Neal]

YNN’s local shareholder is YNN Holdings Corp. owned by a certain Filipino-Chinese businessman named Sunny Sun. Sun happens to be a distributor of Duraflex Wires and Cables, and basically sells these and other products to power utilities like Meralco. [Fel]

YNN’s local shareholder is a certain Sunny T. Sun. He also happens to be a distributor of Duraflex Wires and Cables and basically sells these and other products to power utilities like the Manila Electric Co. [Mary Ann]

Two of the articles carry this phrase:

the Sun-Alcordo relationship is still alive and kicking [Mary Ann]

the Sun-Alcordo partnership is still alive and well [Fel]

Hey!  It’s just a theory.

My point here is that wouldn’t it be a better idea for the entity circulating this document, if it exists, to just post the complete thing on the web, under it’s own name with a contact person so that we don’t have to get it filtered through other writers like the children’s game we played in Bible School called "Pass It On" where you whisper a phrase into one person’s ear and they whisper it on down the line until the last person’s version of what they hear is … well… usually kind of funny?

And then Neal and Fel and Conrado and Mary Ann could point to the thing and still regale us with their prose and continue to add value to the discussion - they are good writers.
