Abstract –> Concrete

Yesterday I spilled a lot of words about one thing - creating an architecture of participation.

So what exactly does that mean here in the Philippine energy sector? Let me try to chip away at it.

Johnny Moore was at the Market Research Society Conference in London yesterday where, as he noted, someone acknowledged that what really mattered was not what the panellists had been saying, but what people had to say about the session afterwards.

Bingo! It’s not so very important what the invited experts nor the ERC had to say at the Retail Competition Symposia in Manila last week nor the few questions flung at them from the floor.

What is important is the reaction and the discussion that the industrials and potential suppliers, the audience, are having afterwards among themselves and among those they engage afterwards at their own companies.

That’s what I want to see - a support structure for airing that discussion, so that we can then dig deeper and act faster. The current feedback loops within the sector are way too long and inefficent.

On this day..
