List of Philippine Generation Plants

:: Update 9/8/2006: This database has been move to this page on the Asian Energy Public Wiki.

:: Update 9/6/06: I’ve put the spreadsheet up on Google Spreadsheets so anyone can contribute by editing the information directly. The latest version will always be there – but I’ll try to keep the files linked to from here updated. Here’s the catch – Google forces me to send an invite to your email address for you to either view or edit the file. So just ask me for an invite – you’ll get edit privileges by default.

This is a work in progress. I’ve compiled a list of grid-connected Philippine generation plants into a spreadsheet format so that you can actually do something with it other than look at it. These are initially sorted by size.

DOE has a list on their site here (look at the tabs at the bottom of their page).

Instead of relying totally on my own notes, I’ve basically started with the DOE’s information and reformulated it into a usable (i.e. spreadsheet) format. I’ve made a few edits and added a column on “number of engines” from my own datafiles.

This list, therefore, is based on sources that are thought to be reliable. But the BEST source is “the crowd” – the hundreds of eyeballs out there in the Philippine power sector.

If you have corrections and additions, let me know. I’ll keep this updated and revised. Or download it and keep it updated yourself.

:: Update 4-14-06. I’m trying to figure out how to make this large dataset publicly editable. If you have ideas, let me know. In the meantime, you can always email me with edits.
