Nasecore held a press conference in Manila yesterday regarding the P42 Billion tiff between Napocor and Meralco.

For 99.99% of the public, the only knowledge about Nasecore’s position is filtered through the news media reports. The reports, for brevity, have to pick and choose what they relate and then they often produce their own spin by defining the context.

From these reports I see that Nasecore has also filed a an urget motion with the ERC on December 22. But there’s no trace yet of that motion on the ERC site. Nor is there anything about any of this on the Nasecore site!

Here’s a suggestion. Don’t rely on the ERC to make your positions available to the public. Don’t rely solely on the main stream press to get your complete positions out. It’s a new day.

Publish and publish quickly on your own web site so we can immediately tell what you’re all about.

Oh, and if you think I can go to Meralco’s site and see what their reaction is, nix on that too. Once again, I can’t go to the horse’s mouth.

There is no reason why the pace at which these positions become known can’t be a period of hours instead of days.
